Gates Antiques: Featured Items

A Solid walnut chest with bookcase top.  This three part piece is amazing. 
The cornice, which is detachable, has stunning walnut veneers.  The Chippendale glazed doors
are beautiful and have the original glass.  The base is classic Chippendale with scratch beading. 
The feet are an early straight French bracket foot. 
The finish is original. 

The secondary is Heart Pine.  Rosehead nails are present in the construction. 
This piece originates from Virginia.  It is 20 3/4" deep, 43 1/4" wide, and 7'8" tall. 
Circa 1785.
